Here’s what you need to know about Asurion's Home+® protection plan, claims process, tech support, and the devices they cover.

Asurion Home+ is a device protection plan and so much more! Asurion's Home+ provides technical support and protection for your eligible home tech, like your flat-screen TV, laptop, gaming consoles, and more. This plan is a service contract that is different from a product warranty provided by a manufacturer. It does not extend the term of any manufacturer’s warranty.

With an Asurion's Home+ plan, you get:

  • Expert technical advice and support for the technology in your household.
  • Protection for your eligible products, which provides coverage for mechanical and electrical malfunctions, like if your device won’t turn on.

Under one simple plan, Asurion provides device protection and support on any make, age or size for the following eligible devices:

  • LED, LCD and Plasma TVs
  • Gaming systems and remote controllers
  • Audio headsets; DVD and Blu-Ray Players
  • Home theater systems in a box (including receivers, subwoofers, amplifiers, tuners, speakers and sound bars)
  • Desktop computers (including modem, mouse, keyboard, wired speaker and external monitors), laptops, tablets, and e-readers
  • Printers, external hard drives, routers, audio/video streaming devices, smart speakers
  • Smart thermostats, smart smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
  • Smart door locks, smart video doorbells, smart light dimmer
  • Smart home security camera
  • Smart watches, and health and fitness bands

Asurion's Home+ coverage provides personalized technical support by experts on home technology. If you’re having an issue with any eligible household product, you can contact an Asurion Expert for help.

You’ll get expert technical support for all of your eligible products and those that connect to them.

You can get help with:

  • Wi-Fi devices
  • Setting up new devices and accessories
  • Using and getting the most out of your devices and accessories
  • Troubleshooting your devices if you run into an issue and more

 

Asurion Experts can solve most tech issues in just one call. Additionally, Asurion Experts will make recommendations on how to optimize your devices for your lifestyle.

Eligible products are covered due to failures for mechanical and electrical breakdown as a result of defects in materials and workmanship, normal wear and tear, dust heat and humidity, power surge failures and even Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) like drops, spills and cracked screens on select portable electronics.

Eligible devices include:

Home Office:

  • Desktops, laptops, and tablets (collectively referred to as “PC” or “PCs”). Each PC can include one (1) of each of the following: an associated external monitor, keyboard (wired or wireless), mouse (wired or wireless), modem and external desktop speaker set (wired). The PCs eligible for coverage under this Plan are those equipped with a Windows Operating System version Windows 7 or newer or Android version 1.6 or newer and Apple computers which are equipped with an Apple operating system version OS X (10) or newer or Chrome OS
  • Home routers (wired or wireless)
  • External hard drives
  • Printers and multifunction printers

 

Home Entertainment:

  • LCD, Plasma or LED Televisions (collectively referred to as “television” or “televisions”). Televisions include coverage for the original remote control
  • Streaming devices (audio and video)
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled speakers
  • Audio headsets
  • Gaming systems. Gaming systems include the original remote controls
  • DVD players, Blu-Ray players and portable DVD players (collectively referred to as “DVD Player” or “DVD players”)
  • Virtual Reality Headset(s)
  • Home theater systems that include any of the following if purchased as a set: a receiver, sound bar, speakers, BluRay player, amplifier, subwoofer, and tuner (collectively referred to as “home theater system in a box” or “home theater systems in a box”)

  • Smart Light Dimmer(s)
  • Smart Device Hubs
  • Smart Thermostat(s)
  • Smart Smoke Detector(s)

Sorry, no. Any preexisting damaged devices are not covered under the plan prior to enrollment. If you need a repair on a device that was damaged prior to enrollment or that is not covered under Asurion's Home+, uBreakiFix by Asurion stores can assist you with a repair. Feel free to schedule a service online or visit one of the 700+ stores.
